Our legal situation in Germany does not allow us to use tires that are not approved for use on the TDM by either the vendor or Yamaha. And as far as I know there are no dual sports (Enduro) tires in that list.

I know that there are several 110/80-18 REAR tires for dual sports/Enduro that could be mounted on the front rim in opposite direction. Oh, there even is at least one front tire in that dimension (Heidenau K60). But I have never tested any of this myself.

Besides PR2 and Z6, my current choices include:

Dunlop RoadSmart, Conti RoadAttack, Pirelli Diabolo Strada and Bridgestone BT21.

These are all road tires with limited use on gravel.
I am not sure about the current recommendations from Avon or other vendors.
