Hi!

In terms of tyres are many possibilities. There are your Dunlop, Metzeler (Mez4 and the new Mez6) and the brigdestone BT020. They are all preferred for the TDM.

The Dunlop ist ok. A little bit soft, with a the good grip. The kilometers traveled is not so great, but enough. And when they are so cheap in SLO, so is this not so relevant fou you.
If you have a good back tyre, is it better you bye the same again.
If you want change the model, change ever both tyres at the same time!

Regards
Rudi

Hello TDM Driver from Slovenia,

Sorry for my bad English but I hope you understand it.
My Opinion about the D 205. No Problem. The D205 is since 6/2003 on my Front and my Backwheel. On a Trip to Italy I needed urgently new Tyres and the Dunlop was the onlyone which was to sell. So I buyed the Dunlop D 205 . Now I ´ve driven 6000 km with the Dunlop and it´s a fantastic tyre so that I don´t want to drive any other. The Profile at the backside is now going down to 3mm and I hope to drive about 2000-3000 km with this tire again it´s to change.
But now I have also a question to you. How many Euros is Cheap in Slovenia. If it´s cheap enough for me you can send me Tyres. In germany they costs both for Front and Backside 250-300 Euros.
One thing to the answer of DDiver. It´s right. Only to change frontside isn´t very good. It´s better to change both sides to Dunlop and not to ride front a Dunlop and back another from Michelin Pirelli or Metzler or any other. Also in Germany it´s not allowed to drive other Tires on front or backside. So I hope to help you a little bit.

Much greats from Cologne - Germany-

Hi Vlado!

I don't understand this texture: for 19.000sit/237sit per€=80€...

Can you explain me this please, because it's very interesting for me.
If tyres are so much cheaper in SLO, so I and other in austria can take the next in your country. It's no so far for me, neighbour! :rotate:

Best regards
Rudi

Okay, ich schreibe es mal auseinander:

for 19.000sit
237sit per € (exchange rate)
=> 80€

Besser so?

That is definitely true! And the slovenian Alps are worth a visit anyway!

Hi TDM-SLO,
tell me were you come from exactly.
I was last year in Slowenia with my bike. You know Bohinsko Jezero?
Absolutely fine holidays there. Great for motorbiking in a fantastic landscape.
Greetings from Stuttgart, Germany

Herbert

ps: I drive the Dunlop, good choice.

Hi again

19000 sit cost one tyre, exc rate is 237 sit for 1 €, so tyre cost 80€..For 3000 sit extra, that is near 13€, you will have it on you bike. Other words, chabge cost 13€.

I think that is the best price i can get. I check for one tyre, if you are interested, you should write me, so i can check if there are some more.

I have one more dealer, but right now he is out of stock.

I will also check for tax refund.

If we make a deal, i will make a reservation.

I live in Ljubljana. I know Bohinjsko jezero very well. Water fall Savica in near and it is very beauty. Not to mention river Soca. If there is interset for Slo or former Yu, i can help you finding the best route, best roads, where to sleep, eat and have fun.

You are wellcome in Slovenia.

Vlado

Thanks for your offer. Probably some fellow members will come back to it. May I ask you to post some hints or tips in our Touring board? You find it here!

There should be a report on Slovenia (including the Vrsic and Soca valley) and Croatia already, but feel free to add your own comments!

Thanks for your help,
Lars
