Hi, I may need your help as I am trying to purchase new tyres, and I found very competitive prices at
reifenversand, in Germany.
The problem there is that the site is only in German, so I tried to get in touch with them via e-mail (in English) to ask few basic questions about the delivery but I didn't get any reply.
Could someone here kindly help me asking them:
1) If they do ship to Italy
2) How much would it cost (the shipment, I mean)
3) How long would it take (not precisely, I mean, is it a matter of days or weeks?)

Finally, if anybody here have had some experience with them, any comments would be very much appreciated

Hallo, kann ich Ihre Hilfe benötigen, während ich versuche, neue Reifen zu kaufen, und ich fand sehr konkurrenzfähige Preise an reifenversand, in Deutschland. Das Problem dort ist, daß der Aufstellungsort nur auf Deutsch ist, also versuchte ich, in der Note mit ihnen über E-mail zu erhalten (auf englisch) wenige grundlegende Fragen über die Anlieferung zu stellen, aber ich erhielt keine Antwort.
Könnte jemand freundlich mir hier helfen um um sie bitten:
1) wenn sie versenden nach Italien
2) wieviel wurde, es kosten (der Versand, bedeute ich)
3), wie lang würde es nehmen (nicht genau, ich, bedeuten, sind es eine Angelegenheit von Tagen oder von Wochen?)
Schließlich wenn jede hier etwas Erfahrung mit ihnen gehabt haben, würden alle mögliche Anmerkungen sehr geschätzt.

Naaa... the MT is too far in time, and my tyres are quite old; also I am not sure I will make it to the MT, so I'd rather buy the tyres upfront (hey, Altavista works also from German to English )

BTW, the tyres I was thinking about are Mez4, which I saw for ~230€.

I had a look to Reifenversand.de and I will try to answer your questions:

Yes, they do.

The costs for shipping are depending on the weight and the destination.
If you are interested, I would check the costs via mail.

You have to pay the price with your credit card and they will ship the tyres the same day (if they have hold them in stock). The info on the web shows the Z4 in stock.

The prices are:
Metzeler Z4
front: 109,27 €
rear: 123.24 €

If you are interested - give me a short note, I will try to check the delivery costs.

The place the tyres should be shipped to is Como, which some of you may know quite well, I guess, just on the border w/ Switzerland

reifenversand is shipping the tyres into diffrent countries in europe also to italy!! they make the price dependent up on the wight of the package and deliver with the german DPD service!

the price for the package is about 15 Euros!!!!!

Hi, I just placed the order today on reifenversand
It says Gesambetrag 245.27€; Enthaltene Mehrwertsteuer 16%: 33.83€; Warenwert: 211.44€; Versandkosten : 12.76€

Am I right understanding that I will be paying 245€, that the 16% VAT is already included in the 245 gesambetrag, that the shipment costs 12.76€? And what is Warenwert?

Finally, the confirmation email said:
"Sehr geehrte(r) Giovanni Pianigiani ,
vielen Dank für Ihre Bestellung vom 31.05.2003 um 17:40:41,
deren Eingang wir wie folgt bestätigen:
Bitte beachten Sie unsere Zahlungsbedingen beim Lastschriftverfahren. Der Rechnungsbetrag wird sofort abgebucht, die Ware wird aber erst ca. 5 Tage nach Bankabbuchung versandt. Falls eine Bankabbuchung vom

exactly!

The value of the goods without the VAT (pure mathematics ;) )

They offer various ways of payment (at least for national shipping). One is to deduct the money directly from a (german) bank account. If the deduction is not possible for some reason, they will assume fraud.

I guess you gave them your credit card information (I think this is the only way to order beyond Germany). In that case the above statements do not apply at all to you, it is just their standard response email.

As far as I remember some Austrian TDMers try to link with some swiss ones south of the "forrestra nera" on their way to the MT. Maybe you want to join them?

Hi, the tyres actually arrived some days ago: everything seems ok (I didn't have the time to put them on yet), so thank you very much for all the suggestions

Unfortunately, we will not make it to the MF as "tdmitalia" (too many things to organize in the same time, other meetings running etc...). I am a bit disappointed for that because I thought this might be a chance for a very nice "exchange" with all of you
However, a few "daredevil" (ie myself and a couple of other guys) are still thinking to come (can be friday night or saturday morning)

is there any telephone number of people we might contact (I think Hanno/Lars, mainly) in teh next days (I guess nobody will be reading emails from tomorrow, right?)
